The new version of the Flame finishing and color grading software from Autodesk now comes with an integration of the well-renowned easyDCP IMF (Interoperable Master Format) functionality from Fraunhofer IIS. Via plug-in every user can easily create and export IMF packages in accordance to the technical specifications for IMF deliveries. The new version will now be available.
With permanently increasing amounts of deliveries for entertainment services and the demand for time and cost-efficient workflows, an easy access to create IMFs is highly demanded by the industry. The Fraunhofer IIS easyDCP software suite provides the processing of IMFs – the universal and SMPTE standardized format for high-quality exchange of content during contribution – now as export function within the Autodesk Flame finishing and color grading software.
“We are happy to have in Autodesk a leading partner for entertainment and 3D design who counts on our well-known easyDCP software suite that provides creation, playback and validation of IMFs as well as DCPs. We are sure that with the high demand of deliveries for streaming media the request on approved tools for the creation and playback of IMFs will increase,” explains Heiko Sparenberg – head of group Digital Cinema at Fraunhofer IIS.
“With the new IMF export based on easyDCP in Autodesk Flame®, Flame® Assist and FlareTM products, we can now make workflows for standard streaming entertainment seamless, fast and reliable,” said Will Harris, Flame family product manager at Autodesk.
easyDCP has secured its position in the market for DCP creation and already documented its reliability for IMF content deliveries for entertainment services.
