Fraunhofer IIS’s MPEG-H Audio Authoring Workflow has recently been adopted by the Telos Minnetonka AudioTools Server. This toolset is suitable for a wide range of audio processing fields and brings countless benefits to terrestrial, IPTV and satellite broadcast as well as pre- and postproduction.
In a constantly evolving media landscape, the task of preparing and broadcasting content is rapidly becoming more and more complex. That’s why the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS and its partners have dedicated themselves to creating new tools and processes that make life easier for media producers and content creators worldwide.
The AudioTools Server by Minnetonka Audio, a collection of essential aids for file-based media work, now features Fraunhofer’s MPEG-H Next Generation Audio (NGA) solution. In the industry, the AudioTools Server has a strong reputation for automating audio processes like loudness control, data encoding and future-proofing of databases. The accompanying UI editor enables quick and easy integration with the customer’s ecosystem and effortless creation of new custom workflows. Over 1,000 typical audio functions already come with the AudioTools Server, with the MPEG-H Audio Authoring Workflow as its most recent addition.
The MPEG-H Audio Authoring Workflow provides automatic, efficient and fast generation of NGA content as MPEG-H Master. MPEG-H Audio scenes are easily defined and authored, including a rich set of personalization features from presets to advanced interactivity settings. Additional tools help with the preproduction process by automatically generating immersive upmixes, conforming the loudness levels to the required standards, or automatically de-embedding and re-embedding various types of media assets, including QuickTime MOV, MXF and WAV.
The MPEG-H Audio Authoring Workflow substantially extends the Minnetonka AudioTools feature set for NGA productions. Its support of channel-based as well as object-based workflows makes it a go-to solution for today’s and tomorrow’s projects. Furthermore, with its batch-processing architecture, it can easily convert whole media archives into personalized and interactive audio productions for MPEG-H Audio distribution.
